Project Hades Round 5 Summary - Long Shadows

• Suddenly a Thoth appears! AJ and Drac try to explain they're not the ones who killed Anubis but Thoth isn't buying it, pointing out that he was killed by Famine and they have it right there. The riot envelops them and Thoth tries casting a spell only for AJ to get him with Famine. While not a deep wound, the nature of the weapon means Thoth is sufficiently distracted to allow an escape.
• Eris and Hope try to cut through the slums only for them to find out that the inhabitants of the slums have surrounded them. Eris does not try to escape, but rather quietly accepts this. Hope wants to know why he's not trying to run and he says the time isn't right yet.
• AJ and Drac are contacted again by Apollo, who informs them that their quarry is being held captive in the slums. Apollo does berate them for cutting Thoth with Famine but says that he may know of a method to remove the curse, for a price to be discussed after the conclusion of this job.
• Drac is not happy about this situation, AJ is angry with herself for the spur decision to stab Thoth. They make their way to the slums and find Eris waiting, sword drawn.
• Drac decides to talk with Eris first, wanting to know why Apollo is trying to kill him. Eris tells Drac that he didn't know it was Apollo behind it until now, but states Apollo is trying to use them to commit a horrific crime against humanity, one that not even he could tell how much chaos would result. Drac wants to know more but a blood rain begins and the slum dwellers begin to attack all of them.
• With AJ and Drac suddenly realizing that they've walked into a trap they make a quick agreement with Eris to work together in order to get out of the slums alive. The battle rages on but they do manage to get outside of the slums.
• Baldur/Litr makes his appearance and pierces Eris through the lung in a surprise attack. Eris mutters about having felt this "wave" coming since the slums. Before AJ and Drac can react Baldur vanishes again under his helm of invisibility.
• Eris is drawing his final breaths and asks Drac if this is what he wanted. Drac firmly states that he never wanted it to happen; he had no intention of killing Eris. Eris then asks him if he'd be willing to carry on his contract for the good of humanity. Drac agrees and Eris formally contracts with him to transfer Hope's soul to his body, sealing it with blood. He then dies shortly after.
• AJ wants to know what's going on, so Drac touches her hand to test if her power is working. Suddenly three-way conversation between Hope, Drac, and AJ. They learn who, or rather what, Hope is and how allowing Apollo to kill her would be very bad. Hope tells them both that she and Eris were heading to Elysium because Eris had felt a massive "wave of potential" coming from there, one that dwarfed all the others he'd been feeling in the Underworld, including Hope's previous wave. He'd told Hope that it was possible that was where all the events would come to a head, particularly where she was concerned.
• Having reneged on the deal with Apollo and further infuriated a now-crippled Thoth, Drac and AJ agree to head to Elysium. Drac wants to help, Hope feels drawn to it, and AJ just wants to get it done.
• Cut to Apollo remarking on how his pawns weren't doing what he wanted. He does something that reveals him as one of the leaders of The Outsiders and that he would be headed to Elysium very soon to carry out the final aspect of the plan along with Baldur.
As I thought, I didn't have the time to recreate it. Oh well. Here's the summary and I guess that's it for me.

And here I thought there was no way to make AJ and Drac's relationship more complicated. I approve. I hope you manage to get more out. I'd love to see this properly written.
